Those who wanted to see a smaller version of the F-150 are going to be disappointed to hear that Ford has decided that the F-100 is not the answer to high gas prices. Instead, they will be putting their focus on increasing the efficiency of their current engines by using their highly touted EcoBoost platform and investing into a new technology called ‘ethanol boosting’ which injects a small amount of the biofuel into the engine to increase fuel economy even further.

The F-100 become less likely at the announcement that the Ford Ranger would continue production for at least a few more years.
